for everyone who's been keeping up w/ terrel owens lately, i'd like to know your comments.  if you don't have a clue as to what i'm talking about, terrel owens signed a contract w/ the eagles last year for 7 years & $48.97 million.  TO is the 3rd highest paid receiver in the NFL.  now he wants to re-do his contract b/c he says he worth more than that.  he had 77 receptions for 1200 yards & 14 tds.  note: all other receivers for the eagles had 27 receptions (23 by one guy) and 0 tds.  the eagles have been to the nfc championship the past 4 years but have only made it to the super bowl once, & that was when they signed terrel owens.  last week, TO wouldn't talk to any teammates or coaches.  coach andy reid & TO had a dispute & terrel was sent home for a week.  he came back to camp today (wednesday).  he says he's going to have a carreer season but won't be happy unless the eagles give him more money.  eagles' fans have been getting on TO as has the media. 

here's my look at it:  i don't think management or players should touch a contract until it's time to sign for a new contract unless there's a clause in there that it can be re-done at anytime.  and about the media & eagle fans...they won't be too mad at terrel when he's catching TD passes all year.  he's going to last year look like an appetizer.  and about TO's agent...although he's obviously a jerk, he's an effective business man.  we'll see how it plays out 

Ok, if you didn't see the game you should repent or go into confession or whatever.  It's the first football game of the year for the Carolinas.  Although it's only preseason, there was a lot to be seen.  First, it was nice to see almost everyone back.  First string is looking nice especially considering it's their first time in full contact since last season.  New Panther Ron Gardner had some nice catches to help us replace Moose.  Jake looked sharp.  Steve Smith & Rod Smart were excited to be back on the field.  Second string came in during the 2nd half and played very well.  Chris Wienke had some nice completions.  Third & fourth team all had flashes, also the draft picks & free agents.  Well, it was a great game & I could go on and on; however, I'm going to bed.  Goodnight.

Side note: my mom arrived home from Guatemala safely.

-my mom is now in guatemala on a mission trip w/ my church.  i'm going to paint her bathroom for her & my dad while she's gone. 

-i bought 2 new pairs of shoes today that totaled under $40.

-i've been practicing my kickboxing.  i really need to hit it hard so i can teach it in a couple weeks.

-i go back to school the 16th or 17th.
